A long suffering sick man turned to his doctor, as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.
" Very quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know."
"You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?"
The doctor was holding the handle of the door; on the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.
Turning to the patient, the doctor said, "Did you notice my dog? He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing... I know my Master is there and that is enough."
May today there be peace within me. May I trust God to know that I am ready for his doors sooner than He is!!
I have believed that people who love me are quiet angels who lift me to my feet when my wings have trouble remembering how to fly. If my belief has been broken, I pray to you, my Master, to reach out to me.. You seem to be the most romantic truth of which I know I have nothing to fear. AMEN...

Merry Christmas to all

You should give your story to a priest so he could give it as part of his sermon on Sunday.
I have believed that people who love me are quiet angels who lift me to my feet when my wings have trouble remembering how to fly. -- Now that is so true.
Thanks so much for sharing this. It really encouraged me today.
Kozzuth, you are a 'truthful' critique. I appreciate that. Death never scared me, it is the best way to face life in my state. Whatever love I have got seems to be ill-gotten and there seems to be very little left - both in life and love.
Paula, thanks a lot for your kind comments. I don't get many encouraging words for long times. I may not be the best of the writers because I am too full of expressions!!! Paradox..
An excellent analogy. Thanks for posting it.
Wow what a great story. I love this. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the comment you left on my blog, I just now found it. You asked for the original post to something I wrote on 12/27, please let me know if you are still interested, I would be happy to repost it or email it.
Thank you Bryan, Gina and Layla.
Layla, I would be grateful if you could repost the original one OR mail me. Sincerly, the post on your blog made me look deeper than words.
